Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program
This class is geared toward people who have Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis, or any otehr joint related problems. Natural buoyancy & gentle resistance can help decrease pain, stiffness, and can improve or maintain joint flexibility. No Swimming Skills required.
Well-balanced total body workout addresses cardiovascular strength, flexibility, and abdominals with/without equipment. A beginer to moderate level includes warm-up and cool-down stretches and can be modified for different levels of participation. No swimming ability is necessary, students rarely get their hair wet!
Lite and Liveley
Class is geard towards the mature population. Class will offer a variety of cardiovascular and muscle toning exercises. Class will work to improve coordination, balance, flexibility and agility, all while having fun in the water. Class will be taught in the shallow end of the pool on a low to medium intensity.
Deep Water Exercise
An intense workout without the stress on joints. Great for knee, hip or back problems. Must be comfortable in deep water. Participants wear flotation belts.
Arthritis Foundation Deep Water Aquatic Program
This class is designed to be more vigorous and intensive than the traiditional Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program. Deep water provides a non-impact environment for exercise to reduce the risk of injury and discomfort. Participants wear flotation belts and must be confortable in deep water to participate.
